Guest guest
Hi . I'm just curious as to why you ask if you might be eating too fast. That panini bread is kind of filling, but I'm still wondering what made you think you might have eaten too much. Do you think that if you had taken your time and savored the food, you would have eaten less? If so, why? then you'll know if you ate too fast. CindiSubject: eating too much or too fast? To: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 7:00 PM I often feel that I am eating too much. Today after my dinner, I thought it may not be too much but too quickly. I had a chicken pesto panini with red peppers and a bag of baked chips.Or at least that is what I ordered. Instead of both slices of bread, I had one and ate the rest of the panini with a fork.I had maybe a 1/4 of the bag of chips. It does not seem like a large meal but it feels like it. Could it be that I am eating too fast? thanks A
Guest guest
In terms of qiantity, I don't think it was that much as I removed the top bread and didn't eat the whole remaining slice of bread. So let's say I had grilled chicken which was an appropriate amount of protein for the night, grilled peppers (less than one) and a tiny touch of pesto sauce.Even the chips, I had a 1/4 of the bag.So being a recovered overeater or cumplsive eater, I fear that I am still eating too much. However, it is confusing if it is too much or too quickly. I am probably not taking the time to enjoy food and it feels like I just need to get food in my system. It was great when I was at an eating disorder center and we all had meals together. Many times we started with a mindful exercise and we took between 30 to 40 minutes to eat and chat. I mostly eat alone and it feels that I just want to get done and over.
