Guest guest
I got Shrink Yourself from the library on Friday. Here's a quick review. The author believes that if he can help people overcome their powerlessness with food, he can prevent emotional eating. The book includes this list: 10 Healthy Eating Habits You Should Adopt (by Gould, MD) #1 Listen to your body--stop eating when you're full, eat only when hungry #2 Manage your hunger--eat properly during the day so you won't lose control. #3 Bounce back--from poor food choices #4 Keep your weight in mind #5 Avoid junk food #6 Exercise enough #7 Control your portions #8 Prevent binges #9 Savor your food #10 Choose a balanced diet #1 and #9 agree with Intuitive Eating. The other "habits" seemed like diet mentality in my opinion. This is just my impression. I'm still new at this.
