Elodia!

Are you coming to the October sarcfest? Since it's not really a

conference, I was hoping we might all get a suite and those of us who

need to could stay in bed -- a regular slumber party. If not I'd be

happy to play hostess again to one and all, but the living room and

screened in porch are "under construction." Kay Pullen has been sending

out the info. I'll try to post a copy tomorrow if my eyes would just

clear up! I think I'm gettin the fake fairy dust in my eyes?

Miss you, girlfriend!

I could not see the photos that were sent because I am on daily digest. I was having problems with lesions also but it turned out to be herpes simplex. I was put on acyclovir to get it under control and now I only have to take one tablet dialy as long as I am not in a sarc flare.

That is always one of my first signs that I am flaring, I start to get new lesions. When this first happened to me I looked around the internet and found some information about a relationship between sarc and herpes. I guess for a lack of a better way to say it, they kind of feed on each other.

Hi Elodia,

I wish you had been able to see the pic's ... I know these lesions are not the "normal nodules" we get, but am so curious to know if any other sarc victims have developed this type of lesion also. I, too, could tell when I was in a sarc flare-up by the number of lesions developed, so I do know the two are related. I'm just wondering, especially given I've had lesions (many forms, including nodules) for years prior to my lungs being attacked and sarc diagnosed. I'm wondering if these lesions cause my sarc to flare, or if the sarc causes these to flare. When I was in the midst of my first pulm. sarc attack, my entire body was "out of control" ... including yeast infections, 1 sore in that area, mouth, just everywhere ... my gyn told me I had herpes simplex ... that is the one and only time I ever had a "lesion or granuloma or whatever" in that area. Do you also get fever blisters?...I have never had one ... my face is the only part of me that has not been touched by any skin issues.

Thank you for responding,

Joan

P.S. If your computer can read .jpeg files, I can send directly to your e-mail if you wish to compare.
