Hi. You're post is inspiring. I love it. I was in ww too, so I get it. And I

totally understand worrying if someone else in the house will eat my favorite

stuff. I love what you did as a solution, telling yourself you can get more. I

do that to, along with buying extra.

Someone on this board once recommended to make lots of mac an cheese if that

goes real fast at meals. Everyone could see there was plenty and therefore at

less! Amazing. And we just had some leftovers for the next day.

That's great Caren! I remember the days of WW oh so well. I was darn well finishing everything on my plate since I counted it! I lived with my sister then and used to portion out my snacks and I'd be so annoyed if she'd come along and want some of whatever I was having. No you can't have one chip...they're counted!! She never understood but I'm sure you do! :)

I'm starting to get it too! I went out to dinner last night and saved half of my

sandwich for lunch today. I did eat past fullness, but not as bad as I normally

would have.

A couple of hours later I wanted something sweet so I had some cereal. I wasn't

hungry, and it actually made me a little bit too full. I don't like feeling that

way. In the past I would have felt really guilty about everything, but now I

look at it as a lesson AND progress.

Oh yeah. I also ALWAYS would eat breakfast before going to work in the morning.

I work at 6am, so I would eat at 5am whether I was hungry or not. Well this

morning I wasn't hungry yet and decided to wait until my body started signaling

that it wanted food. I ended up eating at 7:15am instead which was awesome.

I love IE. It gets better every day. :)

Caren and everyone else who responded; your post was very helpful especially

for someone like me who is new to IE. I bet I beat most of you, I have been in

WW on and off since the mid 1960's when I thought I was fat at 127 pounds!!!! I

completely related to the " competition " thing, and have tried to overcome it

already, I will fix different things for my husband and myself. I still tend to

be " diet " minded a bit but some of it is just changed habits which I now prefer.

Just thinking about macaroni and cheese is pretty scary, but I may just try it!

I am struggling along trying to figure this out, but deep inside I know it will

work for me.

Do enjoy your macaroni & cheese. I know you will find it satisfying and

delightful - especially if you yummmm and let yourself taste its creamy taste.

It does take time to let the food police labels fade away, but you can do it!

And what better way than to eat a FORMER 'forbidden' food. If you do an Advanced

Search here on macaroni & cheese, you should get lots of fun reading about how

others here also relate to this treat :)

I had a cool experience the other week. I went to bed and then got hungry. I

couldn't stop thinking of scrambled eggs. So I got up and made some. Ate till

satisfied. It occured to me the next day that I hadn't had much protein the

previous two days. MY BODY TOLD ME WHAT IT WANTED! It fel soooo good to be in

tune like that.

That is so wonderful. I can't help but remember how worried I was when I first

started IE that I wouldn't be able to know what I needed to eat. It really does

come to us, all we have to do is 'listen'.

Kudos to you for getting up and making those eggs!
