While we are on the subject, did you know that lions,

when the female is in estrus, mate every 15 minutes,

for about 20-30 seconds, for five days???? They do not

stop for food and just fall asleep in between. Having

watch a paor in the Ngorogoro crater we could not

decide whether they enjoyed it or not, the female

might have, she rolled on her back in what seemed to

be pleasure occasionally, but the male looked totally

bored with the whole process! Love Liz (ps the things

we do in our spare time...)
