Guest guest
I read somewhere that the hungrier you are when you start eating, the more likely you will over eat. It also said that the longer you wait to eat the bigger the percentage you over eat by. I believe the point being made was to snack if you won't be able to eat before you get ravaged. This might fit into the aspect that it's hard 4 you to be mindful when you eat. I think this was in the IE book. In terms of qiantity, I don't think it was that much as I removed the top bread and didn't eat the whole remaining slice of bread. So let's say I had grilled chicken which was an appropriate amount of protein for the night, grilled peppers (less than one) and a tiny touch of pesto sauce.Even the chips, I had a 1/4 of the bag.So being a recovered overeater or cumplsive eater, I fear that I am still eating too much. However, it is confusing if it is too much or too quickly. I am probably not taking the time to enjoy food and it feels like I just need to get food in my system. It was great when I was at an eating disorder center and we all had meals together. Many times we started with a mindful exercise and we took between 30 to 40 minutes to eat and chat. I mostly eat alone and it feels that I just want to get done and over.
