Guest guest
> Donna, > Please, Please, Please do not give up. Just like you have been there to support myself and others, we are going to be here to support you. I do not understand what goes on in the heads of these insurance agents!!!! If they could only walk in our shoes for a day!! Oh Dawn Im not giving up. I get mad BUT then I get even LOL. Thank you for yours and others support on here. Im reaching the 1 yr mark on this and as it draws closer the angrier I get about waking up day after day with absolutely no option but to play be their rules..which by the way change on a whim, I just want answers and believe Im entitled to them! > It will work out for you, it is just there job to give you a hard time for a while. They want you to give up, it is all a game that they play. Play better and win!!! *sigh* I know its their job but what about MY job, dont I deserve to return to earning a living too and thats what I was hoping this SCS would offere me eventually, a gainful employment so I could stop bringing home this measly pitiful check they give me. I'd love to see them live of what I do! Hugs Donna
Guest guest
> Donna - Gees, I hate that they are making you jump through hoops. Your plan is a good one. Call each and every person and clearly state your frustration and demand the explanation that you, by law are entitled to. They are required to give you a reason for the denial and you are legally entitled to an appeal. I cant believe that first of all they APPROVED it and then DENIED it! Thats the part that baffles me most! Then wouldnt even give the office a reason why just said " Im denying both of them " meaning the scs and the psych appt that goes with it! I plan on hopping on the phone at 9 am sharp and harping her every hr til she calls and if by noon I havent heard from her I start with her supervisor. My case mamager is off til Monday so she wont do me any good at this point til then and mhy PCP is off til then too but I have a letter specifically stating I have RSD and I'm going to have him wite an additional letter stating the need for this on Monday as well! Fight 'em, girl. Jot down the name of each person and write down their responses along side. Keep a paper trail. Write a letter and keep a copy of the correspondence. Excellent ideas Barbara Thank you!! We're rooting for you. THANK YOU I know you are! Hugs Donna
Guest guest
Donna, Damn sorry that you have hit a road block! Don't give up that is for sure!!! I too am W/C and they denied my SCS at first! It almost sounds exactly like what happened to you. I called the doc's office and the nurse told me that I had been denied but they gave no reason, so when I called to find out the reason (THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU A REASON) they had done some checking and approved it. My case manager said that he had to originally deny me while they waited to get more information about the procedure, cost of procedure and chances of it working. I hope this is the case for you as well. Just try to keep your head up...don't give into their bullsh*t! Call them constantly!!!!!! Teri -- Ive had it! ok...any advice?I have been waiting for this approval for the SCS..I waited for 2 WEEKS for this approval. I have begun to alter my life at home for this approval! I call my pain clinics office today to find out the progress and she calls me back to tell me that UR DENIED it..DENIED everything without reason! I tried calling UR with voice mail both times! I called my nurse case manager and shes still out on family bereavement..I'm going to call EVERY SINGLE HR tomorrow until someone answers me! THEN I want to call an attorney and nail them. Where does this leave me??? I have failed the injections, I CANT take pain meds (they make me vomit) the burning has spread to my entire upper torso and Im no further along than when I started OT 11 MONTHS Ago!!!Im so frustrated I could scream!!!!Thanks for the sounding board! I dont want to play anymore! I've been doing EVERYTHING by their rules! I totally give up! Where in this whole mess does this leave me??Im going to take my meds and try and chill out, thank you guys!HugsDonna

To the best of my knowledge my case manager has no clue this is going on. I havent spoken to her since this SCS became an option as she hasnt returned my phone calls due to a couple of family deaths and since she works out of her house I dont know who to call in her place. I truly hope that like your situation this is the case and they are getting more info but why wouldnt they jsut tell the Drs office that instaed of approving and then denying it?? *GRR* I hate red tape! Thanks for the glimmer of hope Teri! Hugs Donna
