You work to hard under stressful conditions, and that's bad for RP. So lay back, put on some soft music, get a good book. breathe in and out deeply, to help you relax. Maybe open a bottle of wine. need I say more? just relax and give all of your worries to God, and you forget about them for the day. Guest guest
Hi Lu, Well my doc had no problem with me not having a flare, but I need to slow down. I only have two weeks left of work. I talked to my doc about sick benefits and he said just find out what I need. I said I need a big rest after all this. I thought I'd get right out there and try to find work, but I think I want to find my health first. Today the doc put me on methotrexate. I go back next week and then maybe start lowering the pred. Looking forward to some time off. I can hardly wait. Thanks I will relax. Take care, Elaine Re: Elaine!! Guest guest
Hi All, Glad to hear the Doc understood it's a major factor! Can I borrow with her pointy boots to go to my next appointment with my Rheumy? If I go. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, Kathleen here. I've been on methotrexate since March without any pred. The achiness and fatigue are side effects of the drug. However, the longer you are on it, your body will adjust to this and like , she knows when she is nearing her treatment dates because she feels " icky. " I started on a small dose 4 2.5 mgs tables and am down to 2 per week now and walking 5 miles 4-5 times a week. I will post a really good article for you to read with great detail on the drug. Be well and do relax ... enjoy your days off to come.
Guest guest
Hi Lu, Sure would like to borrow 's pointy boots to use on a few other people. (Like my ex and the Board of Directors!) Actually Not the Board because I'm really looking forward to not working. My job is done at the end of the month (been laid off) and then it's hammock time! I'm glad we get good weather in September here. Never thought I'd be happy to leave an organization that I've worked with for nine years, but it has been a stressful job. I can get up to 15 weeks sick benefits and I hope I get them all. The first week I'll probably be bored out of my tree but I think I can get use to it. Hope you're relaxing too. Take care and be well, Elaine Re: I don't have to flare! Guest guest
Hi Miriyam, I'm glad too. Was put on methotrexate so I guess they finally understand that it's not just going to go away. Had my first dose yesterday, so far no side effects, but all my muscles in my arms and legs feel sore. Kind of like I've had a big work out, which of course I haven't. Does any one know if this is a side effect or just coincidence? Maybe 's pointy boots got the wrong person. Take care Elaine Re: I don't have to flare! >Date: 5760Tue, Aug 15, 2000, 01:56 AM > >In a message dated 08/15/2000 12:49:44 AM Central Daylight Time, >cottage@... writes: > ><< Well my doc had no problem with me not having a flare, but I need to slow > down. Guest guest
Hi Lu, Sounds like a plan to me! Can't wait and if I get bored, hey, I'll take a nap.
