Deb, it might help to remind yourself that even 'naturally thin' people overeat

from time to time but they don't beat themselves up (like you didn't too! :) :)

and probably just eat less another day. Part of our learning about not

overeating is to NOT go into perfection mode - expecting ourselves to NEVER

'overeat'.

Kudos to you for this accomplishment.

I paid attention to what was going on and wrote about it. The IE book has been

so helpful in this regard. It turns out I'm not actually sure what caused me to

overeat. It was the time of day when I used to overeat so it could be out of

just habit. I had a pretty busy and stressful day but that's not unusual

either. What really amazed me is how the next day I was back to being more " in

tune " with me and how I didnt allow this slip up to snnowball into a week-long

feeding frenzy! It was so very helpful to be able to say to myself, " self, you

can have whatever you want, so there is no reason to be shoveling it in your

mouth like there's no tomorrow! " And for some strange reason, this is working!
