Guest guest
Dear that is a sad story .. we all need to remember that we should treasure each person and each moment together you cant blame yourself for what happened .. and it would appear that the lesson that came out of it has changed your life and those of everyone around you.. I am sure your son knows you loved him and I know how hard those anniversaries are for you.. a hug for you catherine
Guest guest
, I have no idea what pain you must be feeling during this anniversary time of such a horrendous event. I know how much I love my children and can't begin to imagine how much I would hurt if something were to happen to them. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Today I was so angry with my 14 yr old but I need to be reminded at times that he still deserves all my love even when he is being unlovable. Thanks for sharing this. Sincerely, Cheryl Ü Dear List Members, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you to hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love them! Do this each and every day. Ten years ago tomorrow my 21 year old son was struck and killed by a driver high on prescription drugs. Mark and I had not been getting on all that well and he was living in another state. His sister called me in the middle of the night to tell me she had gotten a phone call and Mark was dead! Each holiday, birthday and the anniversary of his death are nightmarish! I cannot tell you the remorse I have for our disagreements and the lost time I could have spent with him. Please, I am not eliciting sympathy, I just needed to get this off my chest and wanted my friends to ((((( hug)))) their families tighter to their chests. I know I don't miss a chance to tell my family how much I love them. My daughters are in their mid twenties to early thirties and I still hug and kiss them hello and good-by. Sorry to be so maudlin, I know I am not the only person in this world to have lost a child or loved one. It's just that it is so near the date and the pain always intensifies........ in TNGet more from the Web. Guest guest
Dear , My heart goes out to you. I cannot think of anything worse than losing ones child. I watched Larry King the other night and Shandra Levy's parents were on . I could have cried for them. They look so shattered. It must be a nightmare for them. I know we can't make it better for you but at least you know we are all thinking of you today and praying that you make it thru the day. God bless you and your family during this hard time. Hugs Laverne

Guest guest
Re: Hug your family > Who is Tony Jaye? Sorry for your loss! Tony Jaye (formerly Tony Jazdyck), A.K.A. Hamtramck Tony, was my boss from 1987-1995. He was one of the nicest bosses' I've ever had, with a crusty attitude that only years of shop life and three failed marriages can provide. Tony was always very punctual, so regular you could set a clock by his actions. We had a great relationship, as good of a working relationship as one could hope for. He taught me a lot - not just about machining operations, but about life as well. I would come up with an idea, he would usually come up with reasons why it wouldn't work...when he felt it would work (and he was fair) it usually did, and it was great. When we put our minds together, it was synergy at its best, and there was almost nothing we couldn't do. He was really a great guy. I left the company in early December 1995, but maintained close ties to the company from friends and relatives who still work there. January 7th, he did not show up for work...no call-in, no anything. This being so unlike him, it was immediately noticed. Calls to his home went unanswered. They knew something was wrong. Got in touch with his daughter, the she, my brother (who was his boss), and my brother's boss all went to Hamtramck to find out what was wrong. To make a long story short, he had a heart attack and died in his sleep. Dead at the age of 57...we were all shocked. He was just a simple guy, like your average guy-next-door, but he lives on in the lessons he taught us, that not only made us better in the work we do, but in life itself. He is missed, there will never be another Tony Jaye. Umarmungsbär (Huggy Bear) Proud of those people who have believed in me over the years. Guest guest
Huggy, Thank you for sharing this. Relationships are too precious to take for granted. Reminders are very powerful for all of us. There is nothing to compare with the people in our lives that believe in us because they help us to soar like eagles and follow our dreams. Guest guest
No I do not know Tony, I live in Ypsilanti Township though, and about the only thing I know about Hamtramck is it is going broke and we do quite a bit of subcontract work at Detroit Axle (Dailmer Chryler on Lynch) I am Sicilian/porteguese and greek and do not know much about polish food, karen mentioned maybe we should all get together one day, I cant for a couple weeks...if we get it together perhaps u can introduce us to some low carb polish food! :-) I work in Eastern Market and live in Warren, so I drive through Hamtramck on a daily basis. Plus, I'm Polish (last name Dobiesz); I have to stay away lest I stop at the New Palace Bakery on J.C., and fill myself up on Cruscki <sp?> (some Polak I am...can't even spell it - but I surely can eat them...) Did you know Tony? He lived on Belmont, near the shrine to Pope II. Huggy Bear Hamtramck - A touch of Europe in America. Huggy Bear
