Guest guest
Cheryl, I am writing my patient letter and going through the patient manual with a fine tooth comb. I think the greater the starting weight, the faster the weight loss. Everyone is an individual in the way our bodies work. When you think about this whole procedure, weight loss is a wonderful side effect. Aren't we really aiming for a healthy life? Sue MGB hopeful. Appealing insurance. I am PRE-op, so take anything I say with a grain of salt, but hang in there, 17 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Each body is each body and you WILL get there. I think the big losses are often from people with a lot more( like me) to lose. NV
Guest guest
Cheryl, you are doing great. Just keep on keeping on and it will all come off in time. We all need to be more patient. I couldn't even lose a half pound before I had my surgery. All I ever did was gain gain gain.

Guest guest
Cheryl, My guess would be that you may have been almost starving yourself before surgery and now the bod is not quite sure it wants to give up any flesh. I bet you have a big drop right after you get to the " normal " (for us:) eating. Like I know I will have a big loss in the first week, why, because I have been know to carry bunches of water weight. If you do not carry much water weight then you will probably have less weight at first:) On being the first failure.....TTHTHTHTHTGHTHGHT! Besides I think you would have to gain the weight to be a failure! (hugs) Paige;) >From: Cw213bw@... >Reply-To: MiniGastricBypassonelist >To: Minigastricbypassonelist >Subject: slow weight loss >Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2000 17:16:37 EST > >Hi, fellow sojourners, >I have enjoyed reading the many comments and suggestions as well as the >great >testimonies of weight loss. Guest guest
Cheryl, I know that when you lift weights under normal circumstances that weight loss is slower because the muscle you are building is more dense than fat. That may be why your weight loss is slow. slow weight loss > From: Cw213bw@... > > Hi, fellow sojourners, > I have enjoyed reading the many comments and suggestions as well as the great > testimonies of weight loss.
