Guest guest
Hi Laurie, The vertigo has been one of my main symptoms. Before I was diagnosed with chiari I had to take 2 years leave of absence from teaching because of this. It finally abated somewhat. Then 11 years later came back along with the horrible fatigue, headaches, etc. Presently, the vertigo comes and goes. It happens immediately whenever I have to move my eyes rapidly such as trying to enter a highway with heavy traffic. Needless to say, I do not drive much. I live in a rural area and do not drive in the city where the traffic is so heavy. Other triggers for my vertigo: movement of landscape while riding as a passenger, shopping......I get very confused in stores. I guess this is sensory overload. Do you also have nausea with the vertigo? I have tried antivert and dramamine but nothing helps. I just try to Thank God when I do have a good day.
