Big day next Monday! Glad to hear you got your info at the last pre-

op surgical visit. I just found out that I will be donating my

blood for surgery on Monday morning, so we'll both be having " a

procedure " together. What do you expect for surgery buds? Not sure

what coast you're on (I'm right outside of Philadelphia) or what

time your surgery is, but I'll be sure to be sending good vibes your

way while giving my blood up. Good to know you don't need a

genioplasty, although I have to tell you, my chin was the least

uncomfortable of all my procedures (I had a 3-piece upper

segmentation, lower sagital splint and genio). Just entire numbness

in the lower lip and chin. When you look at the xray, you can't

help but marvel at the fact that a chin can basically be severed,

then reattached, then not hurt much at all. It is fascinating. On

a scarier note, I still have lower lip numbness at 6 months which

makes me nervous. The feeling changes gradually in that area, so

I'm not worried, but I do think about it from time to time and

wonder if total feeling will return. But I am thrilled to see a

super closed bite for the first time in 39 years! Yippee!

Anyway! Will be with you in spirit on Monday.

Irish!
