Guest guest
Baron, while you crawl into that hot tub, be sure to add some bath salts to it and a few drops of Wintergreen or Spearmint oils! They will open your pores and let the salts & heat do their thing even better for you. The salts really helped me when I was at my most painful, especially with my swollen legs. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I'm so sorry to learn you're in such bad shape & hurting so much, Baron. What's happening on Nov. 4th that might make you feel better? Did I miss something? I guess stones can be very painful tho from what others' who've had them have told me. I just went to a new Internist today, my friend's doctor whose assistant drove me, & she complied with my request to take me off the Synthroid & put me on Armour. So all I need now is a car to get to the drugstore to pick up that prescription. Looks like it'll have to wait. Hope you feel better soon. Do you have anything you're taking for your pain? C thyroid blues this cold socal weather is killing me. i'm shivering. i've had the heat up. and to make matters worse, i don't know, but i think i have a gallstone. my liver has been hurting with some stabbing pains that have increased in their frequency. and the last two blood tests i took at my gp's, my liver enzymes have been elevated, which COULD mean a gallstone. i can't think of another reason--i did get tested for hepatitis and i don't have it. i'm in so much pain, from the joints and everything, that i think i net about 3 hours of sleep a night. then, i wake up and crawl because i'm so stiff, out of bed, and then i soak in the tub and that's pretty much the only thing that'll loosen me up at least an hour. then i maybe go downstairs and get a few things done. and that's my day. wow. i cannot wait for 4th nov because i want to get well fast. my wife looks at me and i can tell how helpless she feels. baron
Guest guest
caroline that's terrific news. i'm very glad you found someone to prescribe you armour. thank you for your note. it's been almost this bad for 2 years but for the last couple weeks has escalated into something worse. on nov 4th i see my osteopath again, and by then my blood work will be in and hopefully we will get some adrenal support going, and i can look forward to a larger, more helpful armour dose. just so you know, you can have walgreens.com process your prescription and mail it to you. it's fast and less than $2. i smoke pot for the pain, and that's it. for several months i was on percocet and oxycontin and i'd rather not go there anymore. best, baron > > I'm so sorry to learn you're in such bad shape & hurting so much, > Baron. Guest guest
Oh yes...epsom salts & sea salt are great in the tub to relieve aches/pains & soothe the whole body/mind. I put lavendar & eucalyptus drops in too. Also massage in special oils with lavendar in it for after the bath. Lavendar helps relieve pain too. Eucalyptus opens the pores, relaxes bronchials & sinuses for easier breathing & is very refreshing & smells soothing to me. Both are antiseptic too & can nip infections in the bud. Guest guest
Oh then I guess you can't wait to see your osteopath again on the 4th. Not much longer to wait for you then. Thanx for the tip about Walgreen's. I will have a ride next week to get the doctor prescribed Armour tho. Meantime there's a registered postal package to be redelivered to me today since I wasn't home yesterday to sign for it. So hopefully it's the generic Armour I ordered weeks ago. I'm not expecting anything else. Meantime I'm doing okay on my twice a day (if needed) Darvocet pills. I don't blame you for not wanting to return to the pain Rx routine again tho. I'm hoping to get off of them myself ASAP. Hoping the Armour will help. Blessings, Caroline Re: thyroid blues caroline that's terrific news. i'm very glad you found someone to prescribe you armour. thank you for your note. it's been almost this bad for 2 years but for the last couple weeks has escalated into something worse. on nov 4th i see my osteopath again, and by then my blood work will be in and hopefully we will get some adrenal support going, and i can look forward to a larger, more helpful armour dose. just so you know, you can have walgreens.com process your prescription and mail it to you. it's fast and less than $2. i smoke pot for the pain, and that's it. for several months i was on percocet and oxycontin and i'd rather not go there anymore. best, baron
Guest guest
Low thyroid can cause gall stones, my daughter discovered too late, but, in your case, the gall bladder may need to be removed, as yours is so ongoing. You need more Armour, obviously, but some cases of damage to the ducts that carry the material from and to the gall bladder, have caused damage to these ducts. My daughter had an arrow shaped stone that had essentially torn the common bile duct, so they did remove the gall bladder and related ducts. It's too bad she never believed me, when it comes to the Armour, even now! I think that it si said that most gall stones are essentially cholesterol. How that gets that much cholesterol in there, I don't know, as I haven't investigated this. I had a two week long attack of what I KNOW was gall stones. If I totally starved myself and didn't eat, no pain, but within 20 minutes after eating the fun would start, as part of the digestive process. After the food was digested, then no more pain, so I know it was gall stones. This was back in '99, and it lasted for a couple of wks, then went away. It was during the period of time that I was on synthetic T4 and very undertreated. Guest guest
if it's indeed gall stones, i'm going to do the liver/gall stone flush before i have surgery and remove anything! b > > Low thyroid can cause gall stones, my daughter discovered too late, > but, in > your case, the gall bladder may need to be removed, as yours is so > ongoing. > You need more Armour, obviously, but some cases of damage to the ducts > that > carry the material from and to the gall bladder, have caused damage to > these > ducts. Guest guest
That's exactly what I'd do too, baron. Good luck with it.
