Guest guest
Beth!!! That is awesome! Your looking good but still feeling like a little fat girl? I'm very happy for you that you lost two pounds girl, but I am not sure what to say about the fat issues, maybe someone who is at goal can help you out there. Anyway weigh to go you whoosh fairy thief you! Cheryl Ü I stepped on the scale at the gym tonight . . . and I am down another two pounds!! I still struggle with body image issues and have been feeling really chubby lately next to all the really skinny, really young women at the new gym (yes, I belong to two gyms - I make up for people like Jean! :-) ) and had been thinking lately that I *must* have put some weight back on . . . but I haven't!!! :-))) OK . . . so will I ever stop feeling like the little fat girl?? Guest guest
well I've lost 33.5 pounds now and I still feel fat at 180.5 I'm in size 16's but they are getting loose but the 14's are just too tight. I can get into them but don't feel comfortable enough to buy a pair and hope they loosen up enough to feel comfortable. I like clothes that aren't tight so I'm still pretty much wearing the same shirts I did before it's just now instead of being TIGHT they are loose and maybe a bit too big but like I said I can't stand TIGHT clothes. Maybe I do need to exercise to tighten things up a bit so I can get into that smaller size. I think I'm dropping more pounds now and not inches which I'm not complaining b/c I still can't wait to say I'm in the 170's which isn't far away. ;o) Some days I look in the mirror and think I look smaller some day I look in the mirror and barely notice any differnce. I reall wish I had a good before picture. If I had known it was going to work this good this quick I would have made sure I got a good before pic. Guest guest
When I used to go to a very fancy gym i would cringe during the aerobics classes, because I didn't look like the other women. Now I realize how stupid that was - I wasn't all that overweight, & here was I at 45 comparing myself to 30 year olds ( and failing myself). Then I went off to Gloria Marshall & again started comparing myself - but here I was looking sensational compared to the other women. Eventually I came to the conclusion that I didn't need to compare myself to anyone. I had to set my own goals, & whatever I achieved was for my benefit not for anybody else. How often do we try to look good for others when we should be thinking about our own expectations & more importantly, our health. Ultimately, that is what we want to achieve - GOOD HEALTH. Guest guest
ummmmmmmmm Marlena, commere so I can smack ya upside the head, I know how you feel. I mean, I know the scale says I'm weighing in the 160's and I know my clothes are size 10 but I still see SOOOO MUCH fat on me it's unreal. I'd be elated to be in the *2*60's and fit comfortably into a size 20 jeans. (maybe next month) but my point is that I'd LOVE to be you, dont take it for granted!! Gotta say though I know what you mean, i compare myself to every woman everywhere, am I bigger or smaller than her, how do I look in comparision to her, wouldnt my boyfriend be much happier with her because shes thinner, blah blah blah. well whoever 'she' is she can kiss my ass because he tells me I'm the love of his life no matter what I weigh. so ha!
