She's always asking my advice. I think she trusts me more than her doctor.

LOL She said he acts irritated whenever she brings things up. So she might

be changing doctors soon. I suggested a DO if she can find one.

, sometimes I'm not sure if I think that some of these dr's just try

out these ridiculous statements on us to see if we'll fall for them, or if

they actually believe them themselves. lol. I'd love to hear what your

friend responds with, but if she's a Dr's girl, don't be surprised if she

thinks you're trying to tell her you know more than her dr. My mom will sit

and tell me one minute her armour is doing wonders for her, yet she'll also

tell you that she's just 70 yrs old and she's just got an old body, that's

why she feels so badly. She will completely ignore anything I've tried to

share with her because she refuses for me to be smarter than her. It's

gotta be a competition thing going on, but you can bet when she really needs

my help, she will get on that phone call me, and tell me what she needs help

with. I think as long as i don't cross the line and try to educate her

about the thyroid, then she's okay, but it does drive me crazy. I guess it

all goes back to that old saying: you can lead a horse to water, but you

CAN'T make them drink. They just have to have the desire to want something

better for themselves.

In the end, they can either be treated better and get better healthcare

where the thyroid is concerned, or they can sit and feel sorry for

themselves, or just merely accept that this is the way it's meant to be.

That to me is like saying I give up, and I'm never giving up till they plant

me 6 feet under! lol. :-)
