Guest guest
I haven't posted in a while... been busy with work and business travel, but I do read all the posts just the same and keep up with everyone :-) I returned home from work last Thursday and debated whether I really felt like working out that night. While coming down the stairs from the bedrooms to the living room I was thinking " I don't really feel like it, but I know I should " - at that same moment my right foot slipped right out from under me and I slid down the entire flight of stairs on my bottom! I hit each and every stair, with my tailbone and elbow... the only thing that stopped me was the lack of additional stairs! LOL. We have all hardwood floors (no carpeting) and my tailbone can definitely validate the " hard " " wood " aspect. Poor DH came running up from the basement not sure just *what* had happened! Luckily nothing was/is broken but I'm sporting a host of bruises and was in a LOT of pain over the weekend. It's been since last Wednesday that I've been to the gym and I feel like a total slug. Retaining water (which is definitely being reflected on the scale) and just feeling terrible malaise. Hope to get back into the swing of things later in the week. But for now, I'm just really uncomfortable and looking forward to feeling better. Congrats to all those " big losers " this past week! HUGS to all those who are struggling and still hanging in there. No matter how slow the weight loss, it's always better than a period of sustained gain! -Marlena 214.5/165-ish/150 _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
Ouch Marleana. What a terrible thing to have happen. I hope your bruises heal quickly and your pain goes away real fast. Is your dh taking care of you? If not tell him we will kick his butt if he isn't waiting on you hand and foot. ;o) hey it's worth a try right. LOL As far as the water weight we all know it will fly right off once you get back to your normal routine. Take it easy and watch any stairs from now on. -- Sue Huls 214/182/175 (mini goal) 3/9/01 Party Consultant http://www.1800partyconsultant.com/50407/ Over 100 party themes and much more for you party entertaining needs

Guest guest
Thanks Sherry. So sorry to hear about your falls, too. Ya never appreciate " feeling good " until ya " feel bad " , huh? The first couple of days I was sore from my ribs to my knees - thank heavens for Ibuprofen! I'm walking pretty normal now but sitting is not at all comfortable. Ah well, and this too shall pass... but is it too much to ask that it be QUICKLY?!?!?! Guest guest
Thanks, Jean. I sure won't take " feeling fine " for granted anymore - and I'm being MUCH more careful with the stairs. Had I been in socks or something, I'd have an excuse... but nooooo... it was just my big clodhopper of a foot that slipped out from under me. ARGH!! -Marlena 214.5/165/150 > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List >To: " 'Atkins_Support_List ' " ><Atkins_Support_List > >Subject: RE: Ouch! >Date: Mon, 6 Aug 2001 11:52:15 -0500 > >{{{{{{Marlena}}}}}} > >Sorry to hear about your fall.
