Guest guest Posted July 9, 2002 Report Share Posted July 9, 2002 When I went to Mass General, I had both the Circulation Socks and the Air Booties. The Air Booties are divided up into 3 or 4 sections, and the air pump inflates/deflates them in sequence so it is kind of like someone massaging your legs. It's more like you have someone with 4 blood pressure cuffs wrapped around different part of your legs. Starting at your feet they pump one up, then let it deflate, then move up one and repeat. The booties don't get quite as tight as the blood pressure cuffs, but I was always quick to find my ambulatory so I could take them off.
