Guest guest
the fastest I got in to the er was claining possible blood clot to the brain. the nus nurse told me on the phone that if the pt had a electrical face she probably had a clot on the brain that's how I got a fast MRI and found out I had Chiari. Budds Chiari has to do with a blood patch to the brain I think? the relationship is possibly the same doc that named us named this procedure as well. that's just a guess. hugs Debby --- Le King wrote: > well, thankfully, after 5 hours in the ER, now I > know you all are > smiling, cause you all have done that extended ER > time, right?? > > (a horrible note-- or funny-- my mom, who also has > ACM swears by > this statement-- you want to avoid the LONG wait > time in the ER, > claim chest pains, they always get you right back > with chest pains. > now, dont kill the messenger, it is my moms trick, > not mine. but I > wonder if she has a good trick in ending the long > wait time....... > ) > > > well, by the time we got back in the exam room, > well, Britt was way > tired and zonked out on the exam table, and an hour > and a half later > when the doc finally got in there, she was so > sleepy, she claimed > everything was fine, and then when the doc did his > little neuro exam, > she aced it. > > made me feel really stupid, but the doc had a good > bedside manner, > so I didnt feel so bad, at least it started the > paper trail if needed > later on in her life. > > heres a even stupider ?? when you are doing the > neuro test, can > anyone successfully touch their nose when their eyes > are closed?? > I am glad I dont drink and drive, heck, I cant touch > my nose with my > finger when I am sober, I dont even want to think of > trying it in an > altered state of mind. > > > and then to top of the less than five hours of > sleep, our 13 yr old, > extremely angry at life foster son, got mad this > morning and tried to > stab me with a leg off of a bookshelf. aint life > grand?? > > someday, I will look back on these days and they > will be the good ole > days!! > have a grand and painless morning, > LeAna > > __________________________________________________ >

Most patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome have an underlying condition that predisposes to blood clotting. About 10% have polycythemia vera, a condition in which abnormal amounts of red blood cells are. About 10% of patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome take birth control pills which also may predispose to blood clotting. Sally R...ACM..Decompression '91..Hydro .. Guest guest
Le I could not touch my nose with eyes closed before surgery but I can now that I`ve had the decompression. Another test I could not do before surgery--- was to shake my hand from the wrist real fast continueing. The right wwrist worked continuial but when I shook the left It just wobbled. Now they work the same. Marilyn a comical view on the update on my daughters trip to the ER, > well, thankfully, after 5 hours in the ER, now I know you all are > smiling, cause you all have done that extended ER time, right?? > > (a horrible note-- or funny-- my mom, who also has ACM swears by > this statement-- you want to avoid the LONG wait time in the ER, > claim chest pains, they always get you right back with chest pains. > now, dont kill the messenger, it is my moms trick, not mine. but I > wonder if she has a good trick in ending the long wait time....... > ) > > > well, by the time we got back in the exam room, well, Britt was way > tired and zonked out on the exam table, and an hour and a half later > when the doc finally got in there, she was so sleepy, she claimed > everything was fine, and then when the doc did his little neuro exam, > she aced it. > > made me feel really stupid, but the doc had a good bedside manner, > so I didnt feel so bad, at least it started the paper trail if needed > later on in her life. > > heres a even stupider ?? when you are doing the neuro test, can > anyone successfully touch their nose when their eyes are closed?? > I am glad I dont drink and drive, heck, I cant touch my nose with my > finger when I am sober, I dont even want to think of trying it in an > altered state of mind. > > > and then to top of the less than five hours of sleep, our 13 yr old, > extremely angry at life foster son, got mad this morning and tried to > stab me with a leg off of a bookshelf. aint life grand?? > > someday, I will look back on these days and they will be the good ole > days!! > have a grand and painless morning, > LeAna > > __________________________________________________ >
