Guest guest
I am new to this, turning my back on professional dieting after 35 years...here's my question.. When I wake up in the monring and I am NOT hungry, is it still a better plan to eat some kind of breakfast? In that same regard, if I don't want dinner at night, go to bed, and then wake up hungry should I get up and eat something? I have never been a " night eater " and that sounds really risky to me. Thanks for your support.

IE is not a 'plan' really, its more along the lines of suggestions to help guide oneself back to making one's own body the 'expert' and guide for what to feed it. There has been quite some discussions on breakfast, perhaps a Search of the Messages at this group's Yahoo site could be a great input for you. Remember, YOU are the decider of what you eat, when etc. > > In that same regard, if I don't want dinner at night, go to bed, and then wake up hungry should I get up and eat something? Guest guest
, I think that the best answers to your questions will come through your own personal experimentation. Personally, I wait until I'm hungry in the morning to eat. I take both my first and second meals to work with me in the morning and I store some different types of food at work (crackers, mini-bags of popcorn, individual servings of apple sauce, cookies, whatever I love/like). See what happens inside of your body and in your experience if you begin your day without eating the prescribed " breakfast " and instead eat when you get hungry. See, if that works well for you...and adjust as necessary. The same goes for eating at night. I've also been afraid of getting hungry late, if I don't eat a prescribed " dinner " in the evening. Somehow, I think I've gotten over this. I know that I can eat a piece of toast to take the edge off if I get hungry right before bed. I like sleep, so I doubt if I would wake up in the middle of the night because of a growling stomach. I feed myself intuitively during my waking hours, so I've developed a trust with my body that I'll feed myself. So, I think that my body does ok overnight in terms of fuel. It's been great fun for me to experiment and figure out what works for me and what happens if I do things differently than the " shoulds " of the diet world.
