Guest guest
Hi all, After struggling for over a year, working, in pain, tired and with a one year old and a five year old to look after, I have now finally said the " Quit " word. I am very sad. I have been programming for over 10 years earning good money and I have been proud of my achivements. Now it seems rather like this part of my life is over since I can't really compete with the macho world of 40 plus hour weeks. I will be on long-term sick as from tomorrow and hope to claim insurance after the sick pay runs out. Am hoping the insurance company will see SLE as what it is a chronic debilitating disease and not inists that because I can still stand up, I can still do some kind of work. Am not sure though wheter I should announce my SLE to my coworkers or just dissapear quietly. Some of them know but I sometimes feel an obligation to publicise this disease. Any opinions?
