Guest guest
Well, I thought I would update anyone who has noticed me on how I am doing. I don't very often. I started SBD in Oct 03. I did really well til about last summer. I didnt get off plan at all, but after losing about 50 pounds I plateaued for 6 months no matter what I tried to change and even with help from my doctor. I was just stuck at that weight. I must say I've learned how to maintain really well. lol A couple of months ago, I came across foodmover plan and started that at 1200 calories, using South Beach foods (still the whole grains and such). I started to lose again. When I started I was 305 and yesterday I hit 235 (234 today). FINALLY reached my 70 pounds lost. I also went from a 50something waist (didn't measure for about 4 weeks into the plan after my skirt fell off and it was a 50 then) to a 38 3/4 this morning. Went from a 3X shirt to a size Large. I had written to a few weeks ago to tell him how I was doing and said I had lost 70 pounds even though at the time it was "only" 68. I guess I was hoping it would be 70 by the time he got the letter, but NO, another plateau. Up and down the same 3 pounds no matter what I did. I just stuck to it and FINALLY got there. RIchard sent me a signed pic of himself that says "Sweet Carol, 70 pounds down. How Fantastic! Stay Strong and Never Give Up! Love, ." So now I feel like I earned that picture. Funny how 68 pounds down doesn't sound as good as 70. hehehe So I just wanted to say that no matter what, just keep on going. Had I thrown in the towel when I hit the first plateau, I wouldn't be where I am now. I just kept plugging away and trying new things til I found something that worked for me. Each person is different so if one thing doesnt work, try something else. Just dont give up. Carol Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
