picked up another cig again....lol now that i have my sense of smell back i

realize how grotesque and repulsive it is. if you're a light smoker ask the

pharmacist to reccommend where to start.it's a big decision but it can be

won.you can do it! lmk what you decide.

Yeah Dawn, it's been a hell of a year. I still want one at times so bad that

I would kill for it. But, I know how I felt before and that kinds of keeps me

away from them. At my age, I'm starting to pay for all the abuse I gave this

old body of mine so it's on to a new life. Keep me posted.

Don,

You crack me up!

I have chosen AFTER I finish off this carton, I have to try to quit. I can

feel it in my chest big time, more today than most as I smoked like a

freaking chimney yesterday due to being overwhelmed with a lot of stuff. I

know me, and I'm a cheap person, I would never throw them away, nor give

them away, just knowing in my mind, I want to try to quit after they're

gone. I am going to try the patch I think as my first choice, I don't want

to do gum, cuz they don't give you enough to blow bubbles! TINY BUBBLES!!!!

:)

I WON'T smoke while on the patch...stuff like this really freaks me out. I

think the " patch " reminds me so much of the morphine patch my grandfather

was on until he passed on, and for some reason, just knowing it looks the

same, I think my mind is thinking back towards him. You would think that

that should " help " a bit as he died from lung cancer, and we were EXTREMELY

close. He also smoked (along with the majority of my family), and with all

the health issues arising lately with many family members, it's someone

telling me I have to stop while I'm ahead.

I'll keep you posted (or gripe big time from lack of smoking)!!!

Thanks for the input, and you're doing fabulous, not just with smoking, but

with WLS!

Dawn baby,

I quit with the patch. it's not easy, but it's worth it. The

first thing you have to do though is to really make up your mind that you

want to quit. It's really a case of mind over matter.Once you do that, the

patch really helped me out quite a bit. Don't use the patch if you still

smoking because the thing is literally putting nicotine into your system and

you could very well OD on it if you're not careful. It's almost like our

surgery because you have to take it one day at a time even one hour at the

time. I don't know if this helps but if you want to, e-mail me. It would

probably help me as well LOL
