I could hug every last one of you! I feel sane again. I almost didn't add that

last part to my post, but I'm so happy that I did. My " symptoms " seem to be

calming down now. I still want chocolate more often than usual, so I'm going to

have it until I don't want it anymore. :)

Thanks everyone!! :D

I too use Nuva Ring. Since last year July that my doctor had tried figure it out

why that pills had backfired on me. I mean I have use those birth control pills

since I was umm about 13 years old when it was first time messed up. I stop

using the birth control about 4 years ago because of no period for 6 months so I

sotp used it. Until last July they put me on birth control pills. It backfired

for some reason. Maybe it's my body that age different reacts than I was

younger then. Went through several various medicines since last July through

around Oct. She put me on Nuva Ring. It started work but not completely go away

until Jan for first time that Nuva Ring 100% work prevent the bleeding but the

pain is still there on and off to this day still. Doctor had not figured it out

what's heck wrong.

Kath,

As far as hormones it seems to help me sometimes to find that craving food

(usually something with chocolate) instead of trying lots of food to try to fill

that craving. Hope that makes sense. ;-)

slave to my scale. I have noticed a little more room in my clothes in the last

couple of days, so the curiosity got the best of me. I found out I lost 7lbs.

in the last three weeks. Even though I gave in to the old weigh myself feelings

I didn't jump on the scale again the next day, and I have no plans to weigh

again. I know I will simply because I am curious and not because I need to

figure out how to change my eating according to my weight. It feels really good

to let that go. Also, the surprise of losing weight by eating everything I love

is magnificent! I could shout it from the rooftops. Here are the results I've

wanted my entire life, and I got them by being true to myself, and taking care

of me instead of following what Oprah says, or some diet guru is touting. I

feel like a weight (no pun intended;)) has been lifted off my shoulders!

> Now to the hormonal part. My apologies to any men on the list. ;) I have

been eating quite a bit lately it seems. I'm hungry a little more often, (maybe

once more per day than usual) and I seem to be able to eat quite a bit more when

I am eating before I feel satisfied. I just realized that I am going to start

my period in the next day or so, and I'm wondering if anyone else has

experienced this. I've tried writing about it to see if anything comes up, but

I can't seem to find anything that is bothering me at the moment. Do we

naturally get more hunger signals when we are hormonal? I am going to continue

to trust my hunger and satisfaction signals although I feel like I need more

work on the satisfaction point. I don't know if this is diet mentality or if I

really need to work on it. I'm so glad I have all of you to bounce this off of!

Warrior,

That makes perfect sense!

I just kept chocolate around, and that was the first thing I ate every time I

got hungry. It only took a couple of bites and I was happy, and now I couldn't

care less about chocolate, (I will next month I'm sure!) So, it worked! I

didn't deny myself and then freak out and eat loads of chocolate. I'm very

happy with how things have worked themsleves out.

Thanks! :)
