Hi I don't know what is in Rogaine, but I have a friend who should have been

half bald by now and started doing rogaine when it came out and he has a full

head of hair.

Diabetics also get hair loss, and my hair is thin as well and would like to

think about doing something to keep my hair from getting too thin as well.

Hi Annette! Geoff here.

there anything that can help with my thinning hair? "

I don't know what drugs you are using, but some of them can cause this too,

such as Prednisone.

I have DM and I started Prednisone 5 years ago this July. I also took

Methotrexate for 2 years. I always thought I was losing hair because of the

Metho but found out it was more steroids than anything else. My dermatologist

told me that auto-immuned patients tend to get Alopecia, which is hair loss. I

often use Nioxin shampoo therapy. It really helped me and I am 34. Since I

started the AP last August. I changed my vitamins to a multivitamins and

mineral. Took Biotin which really helps the hair ALOT. Read up on it and take

it. It will not hurt you. Drink lots of water. I did and I promise my hair is

growing out thicker, darker and healthier. Everyone I run into these days

compliment me and I finally see it. I have been through hell and back and I am

finally seeing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Nioxin can be found a

finer salons or Trade Secret store in the malls. If you can't find it, let me

know and I will get the 800 number for you. I have been through lots of things

and spent too much money and I really recommend this and all of the additional

things I mentioned. My new address has changed to tmaldonado@..., so

if you need to contact me there. I am not sure how much longer I will be on AOL.

Good luck and God Bless you.

Lucky :-) I do neither steroids nor DMARDS yet my hair is thinning. I

have noticed the same from other diabetics < grin> I wish I still had nice

thick hair.

Your MD said that auto-immune patients tend to get Alopecia. This is more

than likely true related to the steroids or chemotherapy. When I got off

that and started the AP my hair came back as nice or better than ever

before.

Hi Everyone,

I am sure I have good hair genes, Well the only good ones but My hair

is so thick and I have discoid lupus and I have to use steriod cream on my head

for the sores I sometimes get, It is called LUIXIQ and need a script for it

but it really has helped to keep the bacterial infections down. I also take

quite a lot of MSM instead of aspirn, and my beautican says she has never seen

such thick hair in her life. I know something I am takeing is doing this as it

is thicker than before. I have to get my hair trimed every week and thinned to

keep it in the short spikey style I do. You might try these and see I

certainly have had hair growth from something we laugh as I always say it is

starting to look like a russian hat again. Good luck and the Luxiq works wonders

it

is in an airisol can. Just My View from Ohio

Nourish yin and blood. What's your diet like? You could eat lots of jello.

Try brahmi oil. You can get it at places that sell Ayurvedic supplements.
