Guest guest
Bummer! I forgot about the patches. Body heat is what regulates the release. Kathy hot tub trouble...Jane? I just found out that I can't use a hot tub while I'm using the duragesic pateches. I've finally found something that works for my pain control so I'm hesitant to change it. Jane, have you had any trouble with this? It also says no heating pads but I lie on a heat table at therapy 3 days a week. Of course I feel wonderful afterwards for a few hours, probably from the additional medication release, according to the paperwork. I was so excited!!! Guest guest
Not necessarily. In fact it is better if it is moved around to a different spot each time. Kathy hot tub trouble...Jane? Guest guest
My doc never discussed it with me but his prescription says to wear it on the chest. The original pain mgmt doc who prescribed it said on the back, chest or upper hip. I put mine on my lower back, upper hip just where my underwear misses it and it stays much better there. On my upper back, I rub on it while I'm sleeping and on the front, my bra rubs it. I guess we could get the hot tub and I could start putting it on the upper front again. Even when it's on my butt, I lie on the hot pad at therapy and it's directly on it. Of course I feel really good for a few hours afterwards but................. hot tub trouble...Jane? Guest guest
I change locations every time but by experimenting I know when I put it in certain areas, it won't stay on and the skin is more tender and often will develop some irritation.
