Guest guest
My husband also has a stricture in his bile duct. He just had a stent put back in, and at least where he's concerned the doctors say it lasts 3 to 6 months. The 1st one was in about 5 months, and then they had to replace it with this one. We went to see the surgeon who is proposing a 2 part surgery: a sort of bypass duct operation, coupled with a Peustow. I'm not crazy about the Peustow part, but hubby has a stone in the pancreatic duct and they want to try and get that out. The surgeon is going to talk to his 2 GI's and see if everyone agrees on this course of action. If so, the surgery will be soon. If you're interested, I will keep you posted.
