Guest guest
Bond of Fellowship How good and how pleasant it is for people to agree. Consensus puts them on common ground, takes tension out of conversation, and forges a bond of fellowship. There can be broad agreement when we accept standards and adhere to them; in weights, sixteen ounces as a pound; in measures, twelve inches as a foot; in games, the rules that govern them; in government, the constitution; and in religion, the Bible. Agreement is impossible when each is a law unto himself. In fixed laws and established standards there must be adherence, no deviation from it; and yet, where opinions are concerned, we must grant latitude and have the tolerance to accept differences. With opinion, there can be a kind of agreement in disagreement--an agreement that each is permitted to have his own " think " provided he does not try to force it on another. " The sword within the scabbard keep, And let mankind agree. -- Dryden " Can two walk together, except they be agreed? " --Amos 3:3 HAVE A POWERFUL AND AWESOME DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS, KRISTIN
