Dear sList@..., It's here: Superflex helps to defeat Glassman in a new teaching comic book, a sequel to the Superflex curriculum for elementary school students! The book is called Superflex Takes on Glassman and the Team of Unthinkables. Please read below for more details! I've also posted two new blogs. One is a "back-to-school" blog focusing on how Social Thinking can be used with all kids. The other begins an important series: the first of a three-part blog on preparing for the transition beyond high school. Please take a look, and check back to read the upcoming posts on this topic. Plus, our February 2010 Long Beach workshops are now active for registrations and our Seattle, Dallas and Bay Area workshops are filling fast!

Introducing Our New Teaching Comic Book About Glassman!

Superflex Takes on Glassman and the Team of Unthinkables builds upon the original Superflex curriculum by providing a a strategy-based, interactive story that helps students with Asperger's, ADHD and other communication challenges flex their social thinking muscles. In this new adventure, Superflex helps Aiden on his first day of school overcome Glassman, the Unthinkable who causes our over-reactions. Buy Now!In the Superflex academy, Superflex guides students through a full training session of strategies to take on Glassman and the Unthinkables. Through a series of illustrated scenarios, students literally brain-storm their way through trouble, helping to calm down Glassman. There are quizzes throughout the book to help students discover their own knowledge.Buy Now!The front of the book provides illustrated, structured strategy sessions, while in the back of the book, a tip sheet gives some possible answers and further directions to pursue. Also, there's a "quick guide" to the Unthinkables. This format provides a template for your students to create their own Unthinkables -- and their own powers to overcome them all!Learn More About Superflex and Glassman!

Sept. 21: Seattle Early Reg Deadline!

There's only a few days left to receive early and group registration discounts (the deadline is September 21)! On October 6-7 at Shoreline (north of Seattle), we'll explore what social skills really are and why Social Thinking is so important. Videos will demonstrate an "eye-opening" informal dynamic social thinking assessment and the latest ideas in clinical treatment will be examined. These introductory workshops provide practical strategies that can be used widely in homes and schools with all kids! Read More

Long Beach CA Workshops Now Open!

I'm excited to be coming to the Los Angeles area! On February 11 and 12, I will present two of my more advanced workshops. "Thinking About YOU Thinking About ME" provides new insights into treatment and instructional methods for students -- and participants have said they achieve a new awareness of their own intuitive abilities to take the perspective of others! In "Implementing Social Thinking Concepts and Vocabulary into our School and Home Day: A Day to Develop Team Creativity," participants explore creative ways to teach, using the Social Thinking vocabulary in the mainstream classroom, on the playground, etc. Practical strategies everyone can apply fill this day!Read more

Blogs: Transitioning from High School

Nov 5-6: Carol Gray & in Dallas

Just a reminder that early and group registration discounts are now active on our website for these workshops in Grapevine, TX.
