Hi everyone! I was a member of this group a few years back and have been

working toward becoming an intuitive eater. I have found myself struggling

lately and have been tempted with dieting again. I have gone as far as to

create a " food plan " based on a calorie restricted number for a week, but I

always end up deleting it by the end of the day. I know that IE is right for

me, but I find it hard not to have that instant gratification of losing 5lbs in

one week. I have been very successful with maintaining my weight with IE and

have been at the same weight for a year. I am hoping to continue my journey

(because I know that IE isn't a straight line but full of ups and downs) and am

looking forward to hearing about how others have dealt witht this issue.

, Hi. I like to think of that instant gratification as an ILLUSION of

control, not a a real sense of control. When you realize and accept it's not

helping you, it loses some of its power over you. Hang in there.
