Guest guest
Hi Cindi! What type of mag/zinc supplement? I'm scared to death about self medicating with drugs from mexico. How do you have proof of what drugs they are giving you are safe? I have health insurance and I feel I should be getting the treatment I need. I'm going to persue that first. But I will consider that even though it frightens me. Thanks, > In a message dated 10/20/2004 2:14:27 PM Eastern Standard Time, > FlyingDreams@y... writes: > > > It's really > > driving me nuts. Guest guest
Hi . I can only state that if your situation was mine, with lousy docs whichever way I turned, I'd order more from rxforless.com-- -probably the one grain tabs. And when I got them, I'd get off the Synthroid totally, and move up to 1 1/2 grains of Armour daily, split into two doses....hold for a few weeks, then go up to 2 grains...and hold for a few weeks, etc. until I started getting symptoms relief. You cannot go by charts and weight, by the way. Bodies are simply too different. But for comparison sakes, I used to be on .125 Levoxyl and am now on an optimal dose of Armour at 3 1/4 grains. But I will consider that even though it frightens me. , go to a large pharmacy near you. Ask to speak to the pharmacist, then ask him/her what doc prescribes Armour in your area. Or...go to a pharmacy farther from you, and do the same. Or...go to the LINKS section of this site, click on the ARMOUR LOCATE-A-DOC site, and see what's available in your zip code, or another zip code near your own. I drive one hour and 20 minutes, mostly going 70 mph, to mine, and it's worth it. Janie
Guest guest
You will get over that quick enuff . lol. We all do. After you spend years, looking for a dr who will attend to your health issues with Thyroid, and getting tired of being medicated, but only enuff medication to satisfy a dr, and not your symptoms.....yep, you'll change the attitude. I don't read that many posts from people who really find the good things in a Dr who isn't afraid of Armour. They are fewer than one might think. My armour is the same as if I bought it in the states from my local walgreens. I just can't get a prescription for it here, so I buy name brand Armour without a prescription via online. My other alternatives are to become a vegetable type person and wait for a dr to 'decide' that my issues need to be considered, along with symptoms and labs. I've only had to deal with thyroid issues, officially, for 3 yrs, but I've dealt with it much longer than that, without knowing for sure that's what it was. I know now that I've lived it and started learning. You will either find a dr, or you'll get fed up as some of us have, and then you will do what you need to do for you. I had insurance all this time, since my diagnosis, and it's never helped me once. Guest guest
Hi Janie! I'm waiting on a top dr appointment in 8 wks. I should have my lab work done in 2 wks, not 8. I'm going to a different dr in the same practice since I could see him faster. But what I hear is they are both slow to answer ?'s via the phone/nurse - 1 wk. I'm not happy with that and the fact that they are leaving me with no help till 8 wks from now. I asked the pharmacy, she said she couldn't do a search for a dr that prescribes armour, the computer isn't set up for that. Thanks, > > >I'm scared to death about self > > medicating with drugs from mexico. How do you have proof of what > > drugs they are giving you are safe?
