Hi

I'm and I'm new to the group. I've been working with this IE about a month or so. I'd read a few books on the subject a few years back but was never able to work the plan. I now have a nutritionist I'm working with who uses IE in her practice and it's helping me. I still felt the need for more support though. I came across this group as a link when I was looking at an IE website.

I have a history of yo-yo dieting since I was 12 years old. It is so tiresome and never permanent. I've done OA and WW and Calorie counting and exercise, all with success, but never permanence. Also I realize all the time and energy I've devoted to dieting and worrying about my size and looks, I could have written the Great American Novel, earned a PhD, raised 4 kids, etc. etc. So now at my ripe old age of 57 I throw in the towel and learn to listen to my body. This is scarey to me. I want instantly to be eating "right." What's that? I have alot to learn and will be reading the posts everyday to learn. Forgive me if it takes me awhile to share my struggles. It can be difficult for me to open up about things. I am glad to be in this group.. Thanks for reading everyone.
