Just wanted to thank all of you who gave me suggestions for getting thru this recent flare of mine. I know I've been bombarding the group w/e-mails lately. It's been such a roller coaster ride with the Beast this week! Yep, it's a flare, oh no, it's settling down, oops there it goes again...! So frustrating. Especially since I thought I had it under control, and it seemed like it had been such a long road to get it that stable. Now I'm worse than when I was diagnosed! I'm very upset about the sudden change in my appearance, but I have no choice but to stick it out. Dr. Bitter and his office staff have been great, too. He had me restart the minocycline, and I guess treatment #3 is on hold until this has sufficiently cleared. The inflammation has subsided some, but my skin is still sore, spotty, and bumpy. Looks like I have measles! Patience is not my forte, and I think that's what got me into so much trouble this time. Too eager to stop the antibiotic after one photoderm tx (what was I thinking?!), trying too many new products when my skin was still recovering from photoderm. Guess I've learned the perils of wanting instant gratification! Anyway, I have saved all of your suggestions, and will beging incorporating some of them once my skin has returned to some semblance of order. For those of you who are Star Trek buffs: Don't you fantasize about that Dermal Regenerator...?
