Guest guest
Hi Everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post here and I feel terrible about that! I do read the majority of posts and you all do a wonderful job of supporting each other. We have an incredible group of people here and I am very happy that we have a safe and supportive place to discuss IE, since many of us don’t have people in our lives that can relate to this journey. Also, welcome to all our new members! I hope you are finding this group helpful and I encourage you to post when you need help or can offer help to other members. Please explore the other features of this group including the Files and Links sections that can be accessed from the home page. You can also search for topics that have been discussed in the past using the search box on the home page. While I haven’t been active in posting, I have been working behind the scenes along with Katcha and Eva to improve the features of our group as well as keeping the conversations in line with IE. I really appreciate Katcha and Eva’s help and if you have a moment, please thank them as well! J I plan on implementing more ideas soon and sharing some very exciting projects with all of you that I’ve been working on for my business. Some of you have known me for a while and might remember or have heard about when I shattered my femur in September of 2004. It was a pretty bad break and I was hospitalized for 10 days and had 6 months of recovery before I could walk again. I found it a real blessing because I learned so much about myself and my life during that time. Not to mention that I learned to never take walking for granted again! Since then I have had one minor surgery to have 3 screws removed and now, all this time later, my surgeon tells me I have to have all the hardware removed and I will be facing at least 2 – 6 months recovery. The pain, which should have been minimal by now, has increased to the point that it has limited my function and become a huge distraction for both my business and life in general. So Tuesday I am going in to have all the hardware removed. I can’t wait! When this is over, I am looking forward to more energy and time to devote to my business, this group, and my passion for getting the IE message out there even more. I just wanted to let you all know briefly what has been going on and that I appreciate and respect all of you and am looking forward to being a more active part of our group and getting to know those of you that are new better. Don’t ever hesitate to contact me if you have a question or issue that I can help with. I will be back to work at the latest by Monday the 25th. In the meantime, I have a favor to ask of all of you. I have a monthly newsletter that I send out to my email list and every so often I like to check in with my subscribers to make sure I am providing the info and support they really need. I have a brief (5-10 minutes) online survey with questions about what I can provide in my newsletter as well as products and services that would be helpful to those who want to embrace intuitive eating in their lives. As all of you in this group are interested in IE and other similar subjects, it would be extremely helpful to me if you could provide me feedback in this survey. I am giving a gift for those who complete it: it’s an audio recording of an interview I gave called “The Stress-Fa*t Connection”. I’ve provided a brief description below. I will be sending it out to everyone the last week of May when I return to work. I will also be personally answering questions that are asked in some of the survey answers, if you have any. To complete the survey, just go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=LK_2fxbEnGUY5FPSB5l2iPXQ_3d_3d and answer the questions. If you are not a subscriber of my newsletter and wish to be, you can give your email address at the end of the survey, or just go to www.healthieroutcomes.com/newsletter.html and you can sign up there. You don’t have to subscribe to give me your feedback in the survey. Thank you so much and I am really looking forward to getting back to being myself again and having fun hanging out with all of you here very soon! I am sending out a second email in a bit to share with you a special I offered my newsletter subscribers earlier this month, I just realized I didn’t send it to this group and want to give you the opportunity if you want to take advantage of any of the specials! Have a GREAT weekend, don’t forget your self-care and have fun! Here’s the survey link one more time: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=LK_2fxbEnGUY5FPSB5l2iPXQ_3d_3d. Here’s the description of my special survey completion audio recording gift: " The Stress-Fat Connection”: " Stress makes you fat! " You've seen the commercials, read the ads, and probably wondered if it were possible that a pill could help you get rid of the fat on your stomach. As is usually the case, there is some truth and science behind the claims, but the claims are probably too good to be true. Gillian will expose the truth about the connection between stress and weight gain and the practical and realistic solutions for controlling it. You will learn: What cortisol is and its function in the body The truth about stress and cortisol and its effect on body fat Why infomercial products don't work What you can do to reduce stress, cortisol levels, and body fat Thanks!
