Guest guest
Hello list members and friends, If your kid has just been diagnosed on the Spectrum and you are not sure what to do, or if you are already drowning in therapies and not sure which is valuable and which is less so, I know exactly how you feel. I was there, four years ago when my boy was put on the spectrum, and there was no one to tell me what's right and what's wrong. So I am starting a service for parents with kids on the spectrum: coaching, counseling and total case management for families who are bombarded with demands on their time and resources and can use a helping hand. I see typical kids with behavioral issues as well. My name is Shirly Gilad. I have learned many things during the early years after my son's diagnosis and I made a career change in order to use this knowledge. My background is diverse and includes an MS in clinical nutrition, MS in family nursing and I am a Board certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). I can put things in order, help prioritize treatments, advise you on what works and what has no empirical/clinical backing, coordinate between the different therapies, help parents at home and the teachers at the school. Some of the services I offer: School observations. Preschool matching. Functional behavioral assessments (FBA) Behavioral plans for the home and the school settings based on the FBA. Parents/teachers coaching. Shadow training and shadow supervision. Social groups with typical peers in the school setting. Therapy coordination. And more… I live in Boca Raton and I see clients from North Broward to West Palm Beach. I charge very reasonable rates. Let me know if I can help. Shirly Gilad BCBA,RN, FNP, MS Behavioral Therapy and then some. shirlygilad@...
