Guest guest
Hi There My name is Lyn Keller and I'm on this site because I wanted to be with " kindred " eaters . But I " do " have a question for you. Okay - so in the past, I've had the " nighttime snacker " habits (urges are more like it) and I know that for my particular metabolism, eating an hour or so before I go to bed is a weight gain thing for sure. Plus, I haven't exactly been exercising, but besides that for a moment - here's the question: How can it be " intuitive " eating, if I have to restrict myself at night? Thanks, Lyn
Guest guest
My gut feeling is that there is an association between overeating, esp. sweets, and some sort of 'satisfaction' - albeit guilt and 'sick' (?!?) in nature too. Perhaps this is one of those 'known is better than unknown' things? What is YOUR reaction to thoughts of or actual eating of A (small amount of) sweet and reporting back how you felt after doing that? Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Oh my God! This is soooo me, but once I start, I never want to stop until I feel sick. I enjoy the sick feeling the comes with the sugar binge. OR is it more like a high? What's this about? > Knobloch
Guest guest
Hi Lyn,Welcome. I would think it's best to eat when hungry but as Katcha says, no rules. I try to avoid eating late at night but I will eat at night when I am hungry. I also have hypothyroidism - Hashimoto's.SharonSubject: newTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Thursday, April 16, 2009, 12:22 AM Hi There My name is Lyn Keller and I'm on this site because I wanted to be with "kindred" eaters . Guest guest
Hi Sharon Actually, I "do" have a slight thyroid problem - I just never know what to call it - lol!! I don't think its to the point of "meds" though. I think its just becoming more aware of what gives it the "oomph" it needs. I looked it up in a book called "Herbally Yours" and I just did that particular formula. It seemed to help over a period of days. But, like with a lot of different things, I don't always keep up with it. Thank you for the "wish" ) Its nice to meet you .:) LynFrom: <>Subject: To: Date: Wednesday, December 31, 1969, 7:00 PM
