Of course with each passing day, the thought of more solid foods gets tougher, but you will be eating more soon! I'm sorry to hear about your difficult recovery in the beginning. A week in the hospital is too long!!! Yikes! I was there for 4 days for my first surgery and was ready to crawl out of there dead or alive at that point. As far as the splint in your mouth ... yeah, they stink (literally, too, after a few weeks! Heehee). I just found out that for my January 31st surgery, I will need a splint for 4 weeks. I had one for 3 weeks last time around. I was supposed to have it for 6 weeks but he took it out early, so you never really know. Hang in there and believe me, one day you will look back on this and it will be a distant memory. Impossible to believe now, but I promise. Irish! > I am 16 days post op now and doing relatively ok.
