Sounds to me as though she had some type of surgery on her carpal tunnel if it was in her hand. I have had carpal tunnel surgery and other than my arm looking like a big Q-tip (they bandage it to look that way) it wasn't too grueling, I was even awake during mine...chatted and sang songs with my doc during surgery..he was funny! My biggest struggle when I had mine was that I was completely right handed...struggled to do anything with my left (I have learned more now since the RSD in right arm). This might not be the same thing had....but just saying I know that having only one hand makes life hard. I hope she is doing well!

writes usually short responses, she lives in North Carolina, herdaughter Stacey was made sick from a childhood injections at 8 months andhas had many many surgeries. is a nurse and Jeannie lives close byher. has rsd in left arm/hand and her surgery was to get nerve putinto a tube to try and protect it from rsd as was similar to what JB haddone...now that is not exact but just know was nerve surgery in the palm ofhand and owie big time. is almost always willing to answer anyquestion that is medical and offer a short response of words of help and howshe is happy and supportive of others. She is a loyal, dear friend and hasbeen a part of the digest a long time. She has alot keeping her busy and isin such pain at all times as part of it is rsd and part is nerves that aredamaged and knotted up. So that is most of story about except she iskind, loving, giving and willing to offer the time to say a kind word whenshe has to spend alot of time helping her daughter who just had surgery thissummer and was unable to rest and protect her rsd hand/arm so hasreally struggled but she would not leave her daughter.
