Guest guest
I went to a new pain management doctor and he seemed a lot better than the previous one. He's keeping my medications the same except he added some Stadol nasal spray for flare up and pain that would generally send me to Urgent Care. My question for you all is about a procedure I'm having next Friday. They are going to put me all the way to sleep because they are aware that if they don't I will freak out. This procedure will/should help with the lower lumbar discs and the osteoarthritis in my back. But, the only thing it will do for the fibro is maybe lessen the pain. They are going to give me several shots in my lower back where those bulged discs are. Has anyone had this done? 1. Will there be pain or discomfort when I wake up. Consider that I also have fibro so I'm constantly in pain. 2. I have heard that after the procedure they will let me go home but I will basically need to be sedated for a couple of days so that I stay down. In other words for a few days I will be stuck in bed. Is this true and what is the exact truth 3. I won't be able to eat or drink for twelve hours and that right there is a major migraine trigger. The sedation also makes me nauseated. I have a right not to be in pain. So will they make sure that when I leave the surgery center there is no pain. 4. Since this is a surgical procedure and I have things that already make me hurt. Will I hurt worse and will they give me anything stronger for the discomfort/pain/massive migraine for the first couple days after the surgery. Also I want to thank the person who referred me to Dr. Tarig (sp) in ville. That is who I went to. He was honest, helpful, and caring.
