Guest guest
I recomend asking the doctor to use the smaller speculum. You may not know this (Unfortunatly I do now that I had to live with VVS and LS for years), but the speculum comes in 3 different sizes. One for young women and adolecents, the size they regularly use on women sexually active, and a larger one for women who have had several children. It was finnally recomended to me by my specialist that I always have them use the small one if a speculum is needed at all. It significantly reduced my discomfort at paps, and I still have them use the small one now even though I have had successful surgery.
