AP and lateral radiograph of the tibia taken today show a tibia fracture with an

IM rod and two _________ (serclaus ) cables. There is also a fibula fracture.

It is all in excellent alignment.

I am not sure of the IM rod or the sl/serclaus cables

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, the word that popped into my head without checking to see if it is

even used in that way is " cerclage. " Is there a such thing as a cerclage

cable?

Deb, that IM could be intramedullary. I have transcribed intramedullary nail on

my ortho account, so I'm thinking rod/nail may be same sort of deal...
