Guest guest
Hi there, I just joined your group which I found by searching the groups at yahoo. I have been following the no-diet philosophy for about 10 years now. I have stopped the huge weight loss-weight gain cycle. I can wear the same clothes from year to year. I vowed then never to diet again. Some of the books I've read on the subject are Overcoming Overeating, Fat is a Feminist Issue, Breaking Free from Overeating, When Food is Love. I have made huge changes over the last 10 years. My husband and I bought a house. I rejoined the workforce. Then I went back to college for a career change (at 50 years old, in a three year program!) I'm now working for the city as a library technician and really enjoying myself. I'm now ready to really work on the issues which are keeping me at an unhealthy weight. My blood sugar is too high and I need to work at bringing it down. I'm currently reading Mindless Eating: Why We Eat More Than We Think. This is not a diet book or aimed at weight loss. It is a fascinating look at how environment causes everyone, fat and thin, to underestimate the amount of food eaten. I have the Intuitive Eating book (need to find where I put it) and look forward to reading and applying it. Hoping to get and give lots of support.
