I would advise if you have only completed 11 rounds to continue to keep an

eye out for yeast. My daughter is currently in the middle of round 66 and I

thought (and hoped) yeast was behind us as I had not seen any signs for several

rounds. Wrong! This round the yeast has re-reared its ugly head and so back

on all antifungals again. I am hoping this means we hit a mercury!

How does everyone get all these supplements in? My 18 month old is big on

refusing everything!

I'm also concerned because her skin is looking red and irritated on her arms

and legs--not quite like eczema but maybe. I am wondering if her being

yeasty is linked to this. Also--we stopped the omega-3 fatty acids and I

think this is related to her dry skin and hair but she seems like she can't

tolerate them well, plus can't get her to take them!

Also, I was using DHA nordic naturals strawberry flavored and I think the

strawberry might have bothered her but the doctor really wanted her to have

the DHA. Any suggestions?

Lastly--does this get less overwhelming???

Thanks!

Re: sleep

Have you tried melatonin? it was a miracle for us and after taking

it for a month or two we were able to stop giving it to our son and

his body was used to sleeping by then.

Re: Digest Number 4207

How does everyone get all these supplements in? My 18 month old is big on

refusing everything!

----Oral syringe. Early on we decided that if it was something like insulin

we would find a way to get it into her and we believed many of the

supplements were and are 'that' important. The first few months of that

method really were rotten (she was about 2 when we started) but we stuck

with doing it twice a day. She is 3.5 now and accepts it as a regular part

of her day in part I think because she 'knows' how much all the gunk is

helping her/has helped her. We made a point to always tell her exactly why

she 'had' to do it and that we wouldn't ask it of her unless it was really

important and that she was really really brave and strong to do it (even

when she was howling). Pretty early on in the process I also made up a

" yucky vitamins " song that she loved and that helped. Also she ALWAYS gets

an after vitamins snack and usually that means she gets dessert BEFORE

dinner which she thinks is really sneaky (not that I would be giving dessert

every night otherwise that's for sure; but the gunk IS yucky)

Any suggestions?

--Get a capsule that doesn't have the flavorings, prick it with a pin and

administer it w/oral syringe (or mix it into something she is willing to

eat). Or give the other one with No Fenol and see if it helps

Lastly--does this get less overwhelming???

--Yes, totally. But I think honestly it never runs on autopilot if that

makes sense. You master something and then there is something else to

understand/troubleshoot keep track of. But the payoff is phenomenal and

soooooo worth it. You're in the right place!!!

Thanks!

Hi All, I haven't been to this site for awhile. I hope everyone is doing

well. I have a quick question. Have any of you found wellbutrin, paxil, prozac

or anything to help counteract the mood swings that you get with prednisone. My

son Hunt is having so many troubles with this. It is hard for him to

maintain relationships. He just seems to be angry all the time. thanks for any

help

you can give

Hi Rosemary, I have suffered from situational depression since 1994 when I

was 23. I started on Buspar, but that didn't do a darn thing. I went back

to the doctor and started me on Paxil which I was on until 2005. I learned

to know how I was feeling and my doctor worked with me raising and lowering

the dosages that I needed for the anger, anxiety , and feelings of

worthlessness that I would go through. He eventually gave my Xanax which I

use on very rare occasions (because it can be habit forming) when I am

extremely nervous and start ringing my hands and crying for no reason. I am

currently taking Cymbalta which is in the same family as Paxil but stringer.

I was at 60mg one time daily, but just recently he increased it to 90mg

daily. I'm going through a really hard time right not and not really sure

why. Hopefuly this helps you.
