Thanks for the welcome. I haven't heard how long this support group has

existed, but I am sure glad it is here! We used to live in Ohio but are in

Kentucky now. Like the warmer weather a lot. Hope to talk to you later.

Hello and thanks for the welcome. I first got pancreatitis folloiwng an auto

accident in 1966. My pancreas was ruptured. After 80 plus days they did

surgery to drain a pseudo cyst. Then in 1968 they thought my gall bladder

was bad. It was but only because of a grapefruit sized pseudo cyst on the

pancreas. In 1996 I was in a seven car pileup. I was car number five. The

first accident was when a guy passed on double yellow line and I had no

where to go. Since 1996 I have had progressively more difficulty eating etc.

I had just finished grad school and have been determined not to let this get

the best of me. But some days it is hard. Stress really creates a problem

and since I have to go to court sometimes and testify in child abuse cases,

well, some days are just easier. I have a great husband who has been with me

through hard times and good times. I think I will keep him for another 34

years. OUr kids are all grown and married and we have 10 grandkids ranging

in age from five months to ten years. Talk to you later. Markie
