Guest guest
Suzq, thanks. I hadn't though about it being too heavy, but that really may be it! I'm going to try it over easy and I bet I do better with that. Thanks, Joan LAP RNY 11/18/03 Dr. Higa, Fresno, CA 282pre-op/275surg/243/140 Re: Those *!@*% scrambled eggs Hi Joan I can relate to those scrambeled eggs! I can tolerate soft cooked eggs much better, like over medium or poached. The problem with scrambled is it's too heavy or thick to me. I am 8 month's out and am just able to tolerate 1 scrambled again. and it's good. Good Luck, Suzq

Guest guest
, did you tolerate eggs to start with? Just wondering if triggers like this change? Guest guest
I'm sorry you guys have problems with eggs. I can't imagine eating anything else in the mornings for breakfast. For the past 4 months, 2 soft scrambled eggs is all I've had with the exception of the occasional bowl (1/4 cup) of Grape Nuts. It is really a bummer. Try some other varieties. I've heard mention of hard boiled, soft boiled, deviled and over easy....see if any of those work. T. Guest guest
I have to say...I love eggs, deviled eggs have been okay but scrambled eggs were horrible.....I won't try that again for awhile!!!! My biggest problem is I drink constantly but I forget to eat...I look up and it is many hours since I ate. My doctor says I should eat when I am hungry but that I should eat at least twice a day...he also says for the first 6 months.. approximately 600-800 calories a day and 60-80 carbs a day. I am nowhere near either of those and I have dumped a few times..mostly from eating too fast... I have lost 34 lbs in almost 8 weeks and I am feling good, my surgery was LAP RNY... Guest guest
Tina, it sounds like we're all learning in this process. What works for one doesn't work for another. It is confusing. I wasn't told any amount of calories, and 60-80 carbs sound high, but being Diabetic I've watched them closely. The only thing I've been told for the first 6 weeks is 50-60 gms protein, and 5-6 meals a day. hahahaha. On a perfect day, I've actually made 5 meals, but usually a tops of 4. Drinking is fine, but it is a strange feeling not being hungry. Joan LAP RNY 11/18/03 Dr. Higa, Fresno, CA 282pre-op/275surg/243/
