Guest guest
I had a great Valentines Day. Went out for dinner and PASSED ON DESSERT because I was full!!!! NEVER EVER have I done that, and I didn't even miss it! That shows me how far of come with my IE and recovery journey. It was great to know that I was full, be able to honor that, and pass on dessert. Plus I knew I could certainly have dessert anytime I wanted when I got hungry again! So freeing. Thanks Kim IE since Aug 08 Subject: Happy Hearts DayTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Sunday, February 15, 2009, 12:53 AM I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely 'sweetness' day! Guest guest
Here's a story..We went out to a nice Italian restaurant; were going to share a meal, and my husband didn't want salad, so I was going to have that, and we would split an appetizer, well come to find out the restaurant wouldn't let us split a meal without paying an extra $6.00 for a salad we didn't want, or we had the option of buying another meal..so we have to pay extra because we said we were sharing a meal? Instead of giving them money for food we didn't want we had the appetizer and left. I could have ordered the extra meal, gorged on it, or taken it home to gorge on later, or have paid extra for a salad no one wanted to gorge on later, but I just said it wasn't worth the extra expense, or food. It wasn't the greatest experience as far as a romantic night went though. Alia
Guest guest
Good for you to leave instead of being 'pushed' into more than you wanted! Bet you won't go to that place any more or at least not unless you are very hungry and want a full meal. I think that was very 'romantic' - for yourself :) Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Here's a story..We went out to a nice Italian restaurant; were going to > share a meal, and my husband didn't want salad, so I was going to have that, > and we would split an appetizer, well come to find out the restaurant > wouldn't let us split a meal without paying an extra $6.00 for a salad we > didn't want, or we had the option of buying another meal..so we have to pay > extra because we said we were sharing a meal?
