Guest guest
Individual had different way to response with weight gain or loss. Either way is normal. Long as you are listen to your body and don't worry about weights. Be happy with yourself. Eliza > > Is it normal to gain weight when you first start IE? I made the mistake of stepping on the scales. It was all I could do not to run back to points-land. I told myself it was okay and not to get upset, but I'm not so sure I believe it. I only gained 6 lbs, but that was enough to make me question if I can really do this or am I tricking myself into thinking this is a free ride. > > Abby >
Guest guest
This is the exact reason I have found martial arts so helpful with IE. By becoming more in tune with my own body, I can hear it talking to me much more now about food too. Warrior > > I know, for me, that I ate like an escaped prisoner on a spree at first. Guest guest
What a beautiful post about what your parents taught you. Warrior > > This is something had brought back some memories where I was very comfort with my body enough make me realized I can bring that feel of comfort back to me with my own body with no matter what weights. It was during that time before my mother died since she was huge but very tall woman abut 5 feet and 11 inches as my father was much shorter than her. Both of them had remind me it does not matter who or what you are. It is what you want as you want to be whoever you choice to be. That will be your own choice alone. Be someone for yourself and listen to no others who think that is wrong thing to do without they might realized that toward down somewhere on the road that will great damage not only spiritual but also mental health as well. That was something both of my parents taught me before they passed away. I have forgot that lesson for so long until I started reading this book of IE and realized how much I have forgot what they had taught me. I am take it back the way what I remember. Guess what I already have started lose some weights lately without a thought or wish that I did lose more blah blah blah. I am happy with the way I am. > > Eliza >
Guest guest
Ideally, the weight gain shouldn't matter I guess. But remember that if you're eating a lot of " forbidden " foods now, could be water weight gain as well. When i let myself have more forbiddens, sometimes they are very salty. Just a thought. And good for you about the skirt!! Warrior > > > > > > Is it normal to gain weight when you first start IE? I made the mistake of stepping on the scales.
