The Agency for Persons with Disabilities is postponing its wait

list rule workshops scheduled in August and September. APD has been gathering

information about the new law that was approved by the Legislature to take

effect July 1, 2010. The law reprioritizes the ranking of people waiting for

services from APD. The agency wants to further develop its policy options before

having workshops. This will help the agency have better discussions with and

provide answers to questions from customers, families, and advocates at the rule

workshops.
