Guest guest
Hi . Flushing is the same as blushing. Basically your face gets red and hot as blood rushes into your head. It happens to a lot of rosacea sufferers like me who happen to be prone to blushing anyway. Some triggers are spicy foods, warm temperatures, embarrassing situations, excitement, stress, alcohol, allergies, menopause, hot foods and liquids, going from extremely cold temps into much warmer temps, etc..etc.. the list goes on... Some people, like myself, also get flushing of the ears too. Your condition, however, sounds more like erythema or a skin rash. Flushing seems to be a deeper, vascular occurrence. BTW, Cetaphil liquid contains cetyl alcohol. Some people report having dryness and irritation due to the cetyl alcohol within the cleanser. However, the Cetaphil *bar* doesn't contain any alcohol, and that is what I use. -- jonathan " karen ferrara " wrote: original article:/group/rosacea-support/?start=11 215 > Hi Everyone > When i was younger i used to get > blotchy all the time and still do but seem to have permanent blotches > now ( is that flushing) sorry i am confused.
