Guest guest
It's important to do biomedical because children with autism have immune issues. Addressing these issues will only help support all the other therapies you are doing. If you cannot afford a DAN physician there are other options that will help your child. www.pHtestlab.com Hello All, As I stated before I am a newly single mother. I am not sure I am doing the right things for my son and need advice. he is a very well mannered child. He would be considered high functioning but he echos what he hears people say. He can't write yet, has fine motor issues, is delayed in speech and physically. I used to be this positive person but it kills me to see that he is far behind. I try to do things with him everyday. Doing a little it everyday is better than doing nothing. Our insurance company says we have reached the maximum benefits for therapies until his plan renews in November. Then I will get him back to having private OT, speech and adding ABA. I will be scheduling an interim IEP at his school to get him to have more OT and PT in school. Is that enough???? Also, I need to find a place to work. If anyone knows a good aftercare in the Sunrise area that would be great. That way I can support us. Guest guest
, If you applied for Medicaid and Social security while you were still together with your husband you were denied because they counted your husband's income. As a single parent now, the situation is different so I would encourage you to apply again. I think you will be approved this time because you are not working. Once you start working, you can convert your Medicaid into CMS and it will still pay for your PT/OT and Speech therapies. IF you have questions call our advocacy office . Good Luck. Guest guest
Wouldn't the child be eligible for SSI? Mine was. That gave her the medicaid and services like personal care, which was a huge break for me. Plus a nurse case manager, some play therapies, etc...Subject: Re: I am lost on what to doTo: sList Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 2:58 AM , If you applied for Medicaid and Social security while you were still together with your husband you were denied because they counted your husband's income.
